Woodwork Trim

Woodwork trim is the special trims or moldings that go around and edge or trim out rooms, etc in your home.

There are a lot of things you can do with woodwork trims. You can add value to your home for resale, or just make it look more unique. There are so many different types of woodwork trim available today. Which ones to use would depend on the style of your home and the rooms you are trying to work with.

If you want an elaborate look, you could add crown moldings or different designed door moldings. You could also use wainscoting and do the top and bottom portion of your walls differently. Crown molding goes where the ceiling and the top portion of your wall come together. You can use picture molding to make actual picture frames or even shadow boxes. Adding a fireplace with wooden mantels and trims is another idea. It can be functional as well as pretty.

People want to see a home that is all fixed up when it is time for resale. They usually don't want to buy one that they are going to have to do a lot of work on. If someone wants a room or rooms to not look so formal, there are plenty of different woodwork trims that are not as ornate.
