If you have a moderate skill level working with wood, you may be ready to attempt more complicated advanced designs in a variety of items from delicate scroll work to a large assortment of furniture and other items. Amazon, eBay and other online book sellers offer an array of books, CDs and DVDs. Local bookstores have magazines, books, CDs, and DVDs with many illustrated advanced plans and instructions.
Simple plans to advanced plans are available for projects such as a futon couch/bed, classic ice box, computer cabinet, file cabinet, bathroom vanity, barrister's bookcase, curio cabinet, gun cabinet, classic bed plans, jelly cupboard, shaker style mirror, etc. You can venture to make items such as a rod/reel and tackle stand, cabins, houses, and additions, plus children's toys and furniture, garden and patio furniture, outdoor storage, tables and desks, shop jigs and storage units, along with all the parts and pieces of hardware, tools, etc., to get the job done.
"How to" television programs provide do-it-yourselfers with tips
and plans provided by expert woodworkers giving step-by-step instruction. Two such programs are "New Yankee Workshop" and "This Old House." If you feel you need instruction there is even an online course in advanced woodworking. It has a course plan, with books and online help by an instructor. Just about anything you want to make from small, simple items such as toys to advanced woodworking, including full cabins and houses can readily be found both locally or online.
